Our Commitment To Sustainability

At Sierra we make every effort to minimise the impact our business has on the environment. From recycling the paper in our offices to recycling PVC-U from our manufacturing plant we are committed to the integration of economic, social and environmental factors in all elements of the business, from raw materials and manufacturing to installation and recycling.

As a trusted local company we take our environmental responsibilities seriously. All of our recycling is taken care of by Dekura, a major PVC-u recycling organisation with national operations covering the UK and several other European countries. Recycling over 50% of available PVC-u waste in the British Isles Dekura are strongly established as the market (and technology) leader being the first UK company to recycle both post manufacturing and post consumer waste at their stat-of-the art recycling facility.

All products are recycled at the end of their life and the materials are used in other PVC-U building products making this closed loop fully sustainable by bringing thousands of tonnes of old PVC-U products back into use instead of sending them to landfill and hence giving each product a total lifespan of 400 years.
